Welcome to ShadowBase ("Service", "App"), operated by Fulllion Creative Works ("us", "we", or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of our web application accessible at its deployed domain and any related services provided by ShadowBase.
Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Service.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, then you may not access the Service.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, such as saving character sheets, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account information and for any activities or actions under your account. You agree to notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
You may choose to delete your account at any time through the provided functionality in the Service. Account deletion is permanent and removes your authentication credentials (such as email and display name) together with your saved characters, their portraits, and your folder and tag organization. You are responsible for any consequences of deleting your account. Further details on data handling upon account deletion can be found in our Privacy Policy.
4. Use of the Service
ShadowBase provides tools and resources for "Shadows of the Mandalorian Wars," a tabletop roleplaying campaign with its own rules handbook, including campaign information, the handbook, a dynamic character sheet generator, and links to relevant materials. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to use the Service:
- In any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation.
- To create or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- To impersonate or attempt to impersonate us, our employees, another user, or any other person or entity.
5. User-Entered Data and Uploaded Images
Our Service allows you to input data into a dynamic character sheet form (e.g., character name, stats, abilities) and to upload an image as a character portrait. If you are signed in, this data can be saved to your account. You are responsible for the data you enter, save, and upload. PDF character sheets generated client-side are for your own download and storage; we do not store these PDFs.
You may only upload images that you own or have the right to use. You may not upload images that are illegal, sexually explicit, or that infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights. Saved characters and their portraits are private to your account; the Service does not show them to other users.
We may remove any content that we believe violates these Terms, and we may suspend or terminate accounts used to store or upload it.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding user-entered data), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Fulllion Creative Works and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
ShadowBase is an unofficial fan site. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Disney or Lucasfilm Ltd. Star Wars and related marks are trademarks of Lucasfilm Ltd. The game system is inspired by GURPS 4th Edition (Steve Jackson Games); ShadowBase is not affiliated with or endorsed by Steve Jackson Games.
The original writing in the handbook is shared under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0): you may copy and adapt it, with credit to Fulllion Creative Works, for non-commercial purposes, as long as what you make is shared under the same license. It may not be sold. That license covers the handbook's original writing only: not Star Wars material, nothing that belongs to Steve Jackson Games, and nothing else on the Service.
7. Copyright Complaints
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that material stored through or displayed on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent at fulllioncreativeworks@gmail.com. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), your notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough information for us to locate it.
- Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
8. Disclaimers
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
9. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Fulllion Creative Works, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide reasonable notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Fulllion Creative Works ("us", "we", or "our") operates the ShadowBase application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
2. Information Collection and Use
We collect minimal information to provide and improve our Service.
Types of Data Processed:
- Firebase Authentication Data: When you create an account, we collect and store your email address, chosen display name (username), and a unique user ID provided by Firebase Authentication. This information is used to identify you, secure your account, and allow you to save and retrieve your data within the Service.
- Character Sheet Data: When you use the dynamic character sheet feature while signed in, the information you enter (e.g., character name, stats, descriptions, and any portrait image you upload) can be saved to your account in our Firestore database, associated with your user ID. If you are not signed in, this data is processed client-side in your browser to generate a PDF. We do not store this character sheet data on our servers if you are not signed in. You control the PDF file once downloaded.
- Contact Information: If you contact us via the provided email address (fulllioncreativeworks@gmail.com), we will have access to your email address and any information you provide in your message. This is used solely to respond to your inquiries.
- Usage Data (Google Analytics): We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Service. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location, and your browser and device type. We use this information in aggregate to improve the Service.
- Advertising Data (Google AdSense): The Service shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. See the "Service Providers" section below for how to opt out.
3. Use of Data
Fulllion Creative Works uses the collected data for purposes such as:
- To provide and maintain our Service (e.g., enabling account creation, character sheet saving and loading).
- To allow you to utilize the interactive features of our Service.

- To personalize your experience (e.g., displaying your username).

4. Data Storage and Transfer
Firebase Authentication Data and saved Character Sheet Data (for signed-in users) are stored and managed by Google Firebase services (Authentication and Firestore). These services employ industry-standard security measures.
Character sheet data you enter into the form while not signed in is processed client-side and is not stored on Fulllion Creative Works' servers. The PDF generated is for your own storage.
As a Progressive Web App (PWA), this Service may store some data, such as application files and potentially unsaved character sheet progress, in your browser's local cache or storage on your device. This is done to enable offline functionality and improve performance. This local data is controlled by your browser and can be cleared through your browser's settings.
The ShadowBase application is hosted on Firebase App Hosting. General site interaction data (like server logs) may be processed and stored by Google as part of the Firebase App Hosting service, subject to Google's privacy policies.
5. Data Deletion / Account Deletion
If you choose to delete your account via the Service's interface, we permanently delete your saved characters, their portraits, your character list and folder organization, and then your Firebase Authentication record (including your email address, display name, and unique user ID). Your saved data is deleted first; if any of it cannot be removed, your account is left in place so you can try again.
Deletion does not reach copies outside our database, such as JSON or PDF exports you downloaded, or data held by Google Analytics and Google AdSense under their own retention policies. If you have questions about deletion, contact us at fulllioncreativeworks@gmail.com.
6. Disclosure of Data
Fulllion Creative Works will not sell or rent your Personal Data. We may disclose anonymized or aggregated usage data for analytical purposes. We may disclose personal information you provide via email if required to:
- Comply with a legal obligation.
- Protect and defend the rights or property of Fulllion Creative Works.
- Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service.
- Protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.
- Protect against legal liability.
7. Security of Data
We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. Account data is secured by Firebase Authentication. As character sheet data is processed client-side when not signed in, the security of the generated PDF is your responsibility once downloaded. For data transmitted via email, we take reasonable precautions. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
8. Your Data Protection Rights
You have certain data protection rights. These include:
- The right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you (where applicable, through account settings or by request).
- The right of rectification if that information is inaccurate or incomplete.
- The right to object to our processing of your Personal Data.
- The right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.
- The right to data portability for information you provide to us.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time where Fulllion Creative Works relied on your consent to process your personal information.
- The right to delete your account: You can delete your account through the Service's interface. This will remove your Firebase Authentication data and your saved characters as described in the "Data Deletion / Account Deletion" section.
Regarding data you enter into the character sheet when not signed in, you have full control as it is processed client-side. You can choose not to enter sensitive information and manage any downloaded PDFs as you see fit.
If you have contacted us via email, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of emails you have sent, subject to our ability to comply and any legal or operational retention needs.
9. Service Providers (Third Parties)
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers").
- Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and App Hosting to power the ShadowBase application. Firebase's privacy policy can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google Analytics: Collects usage data through cookies, as described above. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See also how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Google AdSense: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 through the Service. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data (e.g., by contacting us via email or creating an account), please contact us. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
